With any performance type aftermarket roller rockers, it is necessary to "set up" the valvetrain.
Because of different cylinder heads/tolerances / past machine work, etc, the exact positioning of the valves can vary slightly.
A large part of setting up a performance valvetrain involves using shims to position the rocker arms at the correct point on the shaft so that the roller tip is exactly centered or aligned over the valve stem tip.
These packages of approx 36 special .015" thick rocker shaft shims for this purpose.
Some engines to use only one package, but many engines will require two packages, depending on how much "free space" the washers must fill and how tight you wish to adjust the rockers (we recommend .015"-.030" of play.)
Use these in conjunction with the correct spacers and shaft hold downs to position the rockers where they need to be.
We recommend using these with all of our aftermarket roller rockers, as well as rockers from other aftermarket companies.
